"I'm kind of glad that the A isn't literally for Anything. It would've been somewhat awkward if it was. And a right pain in the neck to explain to people."
It was a stupid joke Fred knew, but still. But he was a Weasley after all, and even a Weasley couldn't be on fire all the time. At least that was his theory at least and he was sticking to it as much as he could. He was grinning as well, which probably added to the silliness of the joke. But he hadn't really been able to stop that since he'd met up with Avalon. Smiling and/or grinning seemed to be an infectious thing between them and Fred wasn't about to knock it. If anything it showed that they were on the right path. Whatever that path was.
"And you have the infamous Fred Weasley at your disposal, that's always an advantage to be sure."
He wasn't being egotistical. Far from it really. He was just confident in his abilities. Confident that he knew what he was doing, even when he had no idea what was going on or what he was supposed to be doing. The combined intelligence of his parents and a good dash of Weasley Twin ingenuity had seen to that.
The kiss this time was amazing. It was expected, needed even. Fred was amazed that he'd managed to survive no long after the first one. He found his arms wrapping softly around Avalon and unobtrusively pulling the girl closer to him. If she wanted to pull away there was no pressure, no expectation. He just wanted to her be close as they shared this. Life couldn't get any better than this in Fred A. Weasley's books, and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure it stayed this way.
As the kiss broke, Fred couldn't help but return the gentle smile. His heart was pumping and he wanted more. More, more, more, more, more. He didn't want this to stop. But there was no rush. No need for them to go anywhere or do anything that either of them didn't want to do. Fred know when to apply the gentle hand, and this seemed to be the appropriate time. Once their relationship had developed more, he'd see, but right now? Gentle handed guidance was the key. Sometimes the fan club was indeed a useful tool.
As the kiss was restarted, Fred was definitely surprised when it didn't go any further. Pleasently so in fact. Experience had taught him that girls immediately went for the bed during or at least after this kind of kiss. He could see how someone like Avalon would be unwilling to go that far just yet, and was happy to wait until she was. So long as he didn't have to wait until kingdom come that is. He was a guy with needs after all. He couldn't wait forever. However, one of his hands may or may not have found itself drifting down Avalon's back and towards her rather cute butt. It was ready to spring back to its original position, but Freddie was doing a bit of exploring just in case.

Everything was so nice.
The kiss. The way that he pulled her gently forward. As if to remind her that if she really wanted to leave, she could very well do that. But she didn't. She loved how warm she was against his body. How he held her gently, and held her close. She couldn't help but be thrilled at the feeling. Knowing that she was close to Fred Weasley. That she was his girlfriend and they were in his apartment, better, in his bedroom, kissing one another. She wasn't sure how they had managed getting through the entire mall and all the bus ride to get here without kissing again. Because now that she was kissing his lips she found herself so unsure of if she wanted to go to the movie at all anyway. Afterall, that would mean more time apart from Fred's lips.
However, if she didn't part from them, they would probably end up in places that she wasn't ready for. So she was going to have to figure out where her stopping place was.
His hand began to creep lower. Avalon's heart was racing. Her skin was alive with tingles. She didn't pull back. Didn't push his hand away. She kind of thrilled in the fact that it was there. A place that no one had ever touched. Aside from herself when getting dressed and bathing. But she had never kissed before.
God she hoped she was doing it right.
Fred wasn't complaining and she figured that he could if he wanted to. Complain about what was going on. If she was bad at it. But maybe kissing was one of those things that came naturally to her. Or maybe just watching so many students at Hogwarts going at it in dark corners as she went through her daily life at school was something that had allowed her to absorb all this forbidden knowledge. She felt a little like it had to go on .. a little deeper. So she let her lips loosen softly, so that if he wanted to take the kiss deeper he could.
She also couldn't help but, let out a soft little moan if the kiss did in fact go deeper. She had never been kissed, much less a kiss like this and she felt her knees getting a little weak. From all this passion and the blood rushing through her body like she was high. Slowly they moved a little bit to the bed so that they could sit down together, that way she wouldn't have to worry so much about falling over mid kiss. Softly, for lack of air, she broke the kiss and looked up into Fred's eyes.
Wow. Was all she could muster up at the moment.

This was amazing. Definitely amazing. Being this close to Avalon and kissing her. Actually kissing her. Like he'd seen in so many romantic flicks that he'd seen at the movies without actually telling anyone that he was doing. if anyone ever found out that he was a closet romantic they'd never let him forget it. Especially Roxanne and Molly. But they weren't really in his mind as he was to busy enjoying the feelings that he was experiencing right now. It just felt so good. So right. Bliss even. He was beginning to think that they would never make it to the movie theatre at all.
He wasn't quite sure where he'd be taking his lips, or where Avalon would let him take them. But it was going to be interesting to find out and they certainly had the time for it that was for sure. Especially if they avoided going to the movies, which seemed likely at this point.
His hand and been making lines and what have you on the way done and quite happily laid itself on one of her butt cheeks. It may or may not have given a little squeeze while it was there, but it was to hard for Fred to be certain at this point. He hoping that he was doing it right himself. He wasn't getting any complaints from Avalon, but she probably wasn't in to much of a state to complain herself. He certainly wasn't going to. Over his dead body.
As soon as Avalon's lips parted, Fred began the French version of what they had been doing up till this point. He'd let out a groan himself. It was partially done out of habit, but it was most done due to the fact that this kind of kissing, kissing with actual feeling behind it, was actually enjoyable. And passionate. And turning his knees into so much jelly. It was taking all he just to keep the kiss up and stay up-right. The passion and the blood rush was getting to him as well.
He skilfully and softly pulled Avalon into a sitting position on the bed as the finished up their kiss for the moment. Fred returned the look into Avalon's eyes with a small but soft smile. "Definitely wow." That was indeed something epic.

He said it too.
Avalon couldn't help but blush. Looking up into Fred's eyes it was easy to forget for a moment that she was inexperienced at all of this. That he was probably far more experienced. Not that she minded that. She had agreed to be his girlfriend with the fore knowledge that she would not be his first.
But he was her first.
And she didn't plan to make him wait for forever. But she wasn't going to be that easy. It certainly wouldn't be tonight. She would want to get a little time under their belt as a couple before she went off and enjoyed the more carnal pleasures for them. Right now she was just enjoying getting to know what it felt like to really kiss someone. To really feel youself falling in love with them and know that there was only so much free time that you would have together with that person.
School started in a couple weeks.
She would be back at Hogwarts with only owls and Hogsmede to make sure that she and Fred did not get too far apart. Whish she did not want. She knew that she would die if she felt them pulling apart which meant that she was going to have to do everything that she possibly could to make sure that wouldn't happen to them. Even if it meant that she would do everything in her power. Love notes, letters, little gifts, and spending every moment she could in Hogsmede with him.
You're such a good kisser.
She whispered to him as her hand reached over and she let it entertwine with his. Because.. she really thought he was excellent, and besides that, she really liked being with him. He meant so much to her. Already, and they had not been together that long yet. Barely a day. But it didn't matter. They both seemed to be so into it. And she was not going to look a gift horse in the mouth at all. She wanted to get to know him even more.
She looked for a clock and found it. But she had no idea when the movie was and was starting to think they might should stay home. But if they stayed home, then she doubted they would be able to stop at just kissing. She bit her lower lip, and also thought about all those books she read where muggles made out during movies. That could be fun too. In the dark. Other people. Things like that.
What time does the movie start? Do I need to go get ready or... or do we have more time to do this?
She leaned in and kissed him again. Scooting as close to him on the bed as she possibly could without being in his lap. She felt like if she climbed into his lap that would be something different, a step in a direction she wasn't sure she was ready for.

Fred blushed a little himself, as he reached out and brushed a couple of strands of hair from Avalon's face and behind an ear. Hopefully she didn't mind. It just seemed like the normal thing to do in a situation like this. It had worked before and it was at times somewhat effective. He was sure it would be fine. He hoped.
And just because Avalon wasn't his first didn't make her any less special. In fact the fact that Fred was falling heavily for her made her one of the most special girls that he'd ever met. At this point in time waiting didn't seem like a problem at all. He was just enjoying being with her, being able to touch and kiss her. Even if he wasn't allowed to roam to far. He was a Weasley, he could get inventive. very, very inventive. It almost caused him to let out a laugh but he kept himself quiet. Maybe he'd laugh about it later.
Then he remembered that it wasn't long until Hogwarts started up again.
Definite smeg city. Avalon would go back to the castle, and he'd be unable to see her whenever he liked. Fred would still keep in touch via all the usual channels and even send her the occasional present. It would send all of his fangirls at the castle wild, but he didn't care. Hell it'd be even worse when Hogsmeade weekends rolled around and he spent every moment with her. Fred just hoped that they didn't do anything to crazy when he wasn't around. He didn't want Avalon to get in any trouble because of him.
"You're pretty good yourself actually. But I might be a little biased."
Came the whisper back as his fingers were entwined with. Despite himself and the relatively short span of their relationship, he was growing really attached to Avalon. He wasn't sure if it was love, or just plain old lust roaring to life. But they seemed to be into each other, so why question it right? If it worked out, it worked out. If it didn't it, it didn't. And they'd both be better off for the experience either way.
Fred was about to answer the query when his girlfriends lips found his and they started kiss again. Then his mind went rather blank and he returned to the bliss of kissing. If offered he took up the French variation and tried to keep the pair in a sitting position as best he could given the situation.

She was good.
Well he said she was good and that was all that really mattered was what he thought of her. Because, she didn't care what anyone else thought. It was only Fred that mattered. He was the one that she was calling boyfriend and the only one her lips would be touching.
As they fell into the kiss, Avalon couldn't help but feel that her thoughts were sliding through the cracks. She wanted to know more of Fred, and what they could do together. But her mind kept reminding her that she was still young and this was still very new. She didn't want this to become a one night thing and then she didn't want this to become awkward or expected. She bit her lower lip as she pulled back this time and looked at him. She knew that if they continued they would end up sleeping together and she knew that she was not ready for that.
We should get ready for the movie.
She whispered to him softly. Her fingers brushing over his cheek. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't continue. She wanted to, but she knew that if they took it a little slow, they would feel better about it in the end. That was what was really important. She pulled back and she stood up off the bed, it would be too easy to get back into that kissing thing if she remained sitting so close to him so instead she decided to move away and she looked at him with a smile.
I'll use the bathroom if you don't mind. To change, into the dress. I think, I'm not ready for what's beyond kissing. Not just yet. I will be. But.. this is new. And I've never.. and well.. I'd like to wait just a little bit. Really get to know you.
She bit her lower lip again, she hoped that she didn't hurt his feelings becuse that wasn't her intent. But she wanted to make sure that he understood just what she was feeling and thinking. She turned and headed back to the living room where she grabbed her shopping bags from earlier and her purse and headed to the bathroom allowing Fred to use the bedroom to get himself ready if he was going to change or anything. She didn't care if he did, he looked nice in just about anything so she wasn't that concerned.
In the bathroom Avalon, took her clothes from the day off and she slid on her new dress. She tied it at the waist to the left and she slid her new shoes on her feet they were perfect, and probably pretty comfortable since she didn't know if they were walking or what to get to the movie. In her purse she pulled out a brush and went through her hair gently, making it soft and shimmery. She pulled out a little black butterfly clasp, and she pulled a little bit of her hair off her face and pinned it to the right side of her head gently with the clip. Her owl necklace rested upon her bare chest where she had placed it this morning when Fred had gifted it for her, and she smiled at herself. She hoped that Fred would like it.
Avalon stepped out of the bathroom and she looked around softly for Fred.

Fred really didn't want to stop.
Not now. Not ever. But there was a sneaky little voice somewhere in the back of his skull that said that they would have to eventually. Sooner rather then later at any rate. Given what Avalon was and how she felt, they wouldn't be going all the way. At least not today. Not that he could blame her, but it did mean that they would have to stop. God damned voice. Why wouldn't it just shut up and let him enjoy the moment while it last?
God damned voice.
Eventually the voice was proven right as Avalon broke the kiss. No one night stand for old Freddie tonight came another thought. Good. He didn't want it to be one. He offered her a warm smile, hoping that it offered her some comfort. If his guess was correct, and he was a pretty good guesser when it came to women, it was as hard for her as it was for him. But if she didn't want to go that far just yet, then so be it. Patience was a virtue after all. Or that's what his mother had drilled into him when she'd tried to keep him off his father's path of pranks.
"Yeah, we probably should," came the reply to her comment.
He blushed slightly as her finger brushed over his cheek. His warm grin was still there. He really didn't want to move to far away from Avalon, but he understood why she moved away. Even if he really didn't want her to. The temptation to start kissing again was definitely strong. And Fred wasn't sure what would happen if they started that up again.
Well, he could guess. But he didn't really want to share what was running through his mind at this particular point in time. It was probably enough to make any veteran Hogwarts seventh year blush. He reigned it in long enough to understand what Avalon was saying about changing and waiting. He nodded his agreement on the subject.
"Don't worry about it, love. I understand. I can wait." He stated. "And if you're going to get changed in the bathroom, check the cupboard under the sink. There might be some make up in there or something. Not sure if it'll be of any help, but it's there if you want to check it out."
Luckily enough, Fred had planned for the contingency of his girlfriend wanting to use the bathroom to get changed and had put some stuff in the desk that served as his dining room table. Some deodorant, hair spray, aftershave and a comb was he'd really needed. A change of shirt and tie was quickly made, along with a quick spray of all the necessary areas with the spray on deodorant, his hair, which had become a little ajar with all the making out was repaired and some aftershave was judicially applied. Heck he'd even left of his trench coat and gone with the suit jacket. All in all he looked rather spiffing in the suit. He would've worn the waist coat if it didn't have a moving picture of a dragon flying across its front. Try explaining that to a muggle.
Fred stepped out of his room not long after Avalon stepped out of the bathroom. He couldn't help but pause at the sight of her. Wow. Definite wow. She managed to pull it off and looked amazing. At least to him. And that was all that mattered, right? Now if he could only get that stupidly amazed look off his face he'd be okay.

Avalon turned at the bedroom door opening again. She had not used the make up. Because, she wasn't much of a make up girl except for maybe extremely big things. She just wasn't much into it, perhaps that was why she didn't get along well with the girls at school. Not that she ever would change for them though, she just wanted to be who she was and have people like her for that. The book reading, knowledge spouting, Avalon Remmington. She figured that now it might be better.. and worse for her at school. Once people realized that she was dating Fred Weasley. The Fan Club would be angry, the other people that had thought she was too rigid to approach would probably actually enjoy the fact that she was approachable.
You look... amazing.
It came out as a quick whisper because she was just as shocked as he was. She knew that he was good looking, that much was obvious. But outside of that, when he was all dressed up he was just remarkably beautiful. She bit her lower lip, she totally wasn't worthy of him. Why he picked her to be his girlfriend over all the beautiful people that were in the world. But, she wasn't going to question him, she was grateful for the chance to be his girl, and she would enjoy everything that he could give to her.
I .. I am very lucky.
She blushed as she came across the room and took his hand in her own. Wanting to be close to him. She was glad that he seemed to enjoy her own outfit. She wanted to be pretty for him. She would have to think about what things she could take to school so that when she saw Fred during Hogsmede weekends he would like what she looked like because of that. She knew that they already cared for one another, but she wanted to keep it going, it was important to her that it would happen. She bit her lower lip and she smiled again, letting her lower lip free as they made their way to the door so that they could head out to the movie.
The night was cold, and Avalon didn't have a coat, but she did't complain. She would be fine, but on the way home it would be colder and maybe Fred would allow her to use his coat then. She didn't want it right now though, because he looked so smart in the outfit that he wore and she doubted the theatre was that far away from where they were. Afterall, London was a huge city, but there were so many things that were just right in your general area that it wasn't like you had to go far unless you were going to see something special.
So what is this movie about? she asked him as they walked. He had mentioned they were moving pictures that told a story, so she was curious what it was about.

Fred was actually kind of glad that Avalon hadn't used make up. Not that he would've complained if she had, but she managed to rock the whole natural look. In his very hard to change opinion it seemed to work for her. And be honest he wasn't really worrying about what anyone else thought on the subject. If they couldn't see what he saw, then screw them. Well, maybe not screw them, but they maybe needed to rethink a few things. And he'd be more then happy to help of he got the chance. The Fan Club was going to be interesting. Especially when the found out. And they would. They always did in situations like this one. Fred wouldn't've been surprised if there was rumours spreading already. But meh.
To be brutally honest, like he was sometimes, Fred was to busy blushing at Avalon's comment about him looking amazing to really pay those thoughts to much heed. "And you look pretty good yourself, I must say."
He definitely meant that comment. He really did. His eyes were moving as Fred tried to take it all in at once. Fred was sorely tempted to reach out and touch her to see if he was imagining her in the dress. Trying it on had made her look good, but going all the way with the shoes and what have you made her look excellent. More so. But he wasn't ready to go that far in his mind just yet. Naughty Weasley. Naughty, naughty Weasley. Not yet. Not just yet. Trying to control the old thought processes wasn't as easy as advertised. At least not for this particular guy at any rate.
His smile became a happy one as Avalon made her comment about being lucky as she moved over an took his hand. This seemed to symbolise their relationship so far. This simple act of being in contact with one another. The fact that the seemed to just connect. Regardless of the fact that he was a reckless prankster and she was the thoughtful bookworm, and yet they connected on such a simple level. That they saw past their respective reputations and saw simply each other. It was amazing.
"And so am I, milady." He added to her comment. It felt nice having her this close. Like he could face the world with her. It would be interesting to see how their relationship worked when she went back to school and he continued to work away. Fred was actually going to have to save up and get some more decent clothes. Especially if he was going to be seeing Avalon during her Hogsmeade weekends. It wouldn't do much good to turn up in his usual chaotic mismatch of clothes. But that could wait as they stepped out.
He noted Avalon's shiver as they stepped out into the night. Fred wanted to put his arm around her so that she could lean into him, but wasn't sure how she'd take it after their make out session in his flat. Worst come to worst, he could lend her his coat on the way home. The theatre wasn't to far from his place which was a boon unto itself.
"It's a remake of a film called 'Happy Feet'. It's about penguins who can sing and dance." It probably made no sense Avalon, but it would hopefully be understood once the film go underway.

Penguins that sing and dance?
Avalon had seen a lot being that she was from the magical world but that was even beyond her. But she took Fred at his word. If he said that it was cool then she probably would find it rather entertaining herself. She was not nearly as popular as he was but that didn't mean they didn't have some of the same likes and dislikes. The girl walked beside, him, happy that she was with him and that they were really going on their very own date. She knew that after the movie they would have to go back to Diagon Alley to say goodnight before she could aparate home. But she still had a couple hours left of her day with Fred Weasley before she had to worry about saying goodbye.
Sounds entertaining.
They walked for a while, and she got cold so she ended up against his side with his arm around her. Which warmed her up a great deal. Her cheeks were blushing but in the dying light outside she doubted that he could tell. Still, she happened to enjoy the fact that they were this close. making out with him, had been a wonderful experience and one that she wanted to repeat at some point. She knew that they would so long as they stuck together, and she didn't see any reason as of yet why that wouldn't happen.
They got to the theatre and Fred used his muggle money to buy their tickets. There were bright lights that had many movies listed on a huge sign. There were movie posters that lined the walls as they entered the large theatre, and the smell of popcorn and other tasty snacks filtered through her senses and her stomach reminded her that one slice of pizza wasn't going to hold her long.
But she would get dinner when she left, for the night. She wouldn't saddle Fred with that he had spent enough on her already. And while she knew that was a boyfriendy thing to do, she felt bad having not been able to share the burden at all. Still, she would have to find ways to make it up to him. Maybe one night she could come over and cook him dinner. Something that she could do that wouldn't cost him anything. Now that she knew where he lived that wouldn't be a hard thing to do.
Lets sit up there. she said when they stepped into the theatre that would actually be showing the movie. It was surprisingly not that full so they were able to sit in the center of the theatre without much trouble. The seat had a arm that lifted up so that they could cuddle while the movie was on, and right now the lights were still on and previews played.
Avalon was entranced. She sat there. Eyes wide. Mouth slightly open as she stared at the large screen in awe. Wizard pictures moved, but she had never seen one actually tell a story and speak, this was.. this was magic in itself!

Admittedly Fred had been a little amazed when he'd heard about the film. From the films he'd seen previously he knew that a suspension of belief was necessary in some case to allow the movie to be enjoyable, but this sounded ridiculous. But from what the critics were saying it was an amazing film, and the film that it was a remake of had apparently been good one as well, so he would just have to wait and see. And besides he had Avalon with him. He was sure that regardless of what the movie was about, that they would have a good time.
And to be honest Fred was counting down the minutes until he was forced to return Avalon to Diagon Alley and the end of their date. Their first date. The first of many he hoped. He smiled broadly at the thought of taking her out again. Especially their New Years get together. It was a good thing that he had a couple of days to figure things out. He wanted that night to be as special as he could. Especially if he brought her out into the muggle world once again. But that was days away, and he had right now to focus on.
"It definitely should be." Came the agreement, and a small kiss on Avalon's forehead.
As they moved closer together to combat the cold, Fred couldn't help but smile. He was really enjoying this closeness that they seemed to share, despite not having known each other for very long. And the kissing. The kissing. Definitely something he wanted to repeat over and over again if at all possible. It definitely would be if their session together was anything to go by. So long as they didn't go to much further for the immediate future. But he could handle that. Paying for the movies was easy enough, and the man behind the counter seemed friendly. But that was possibly because Fred had seen him once or twice before, and they'd gotten on okay.
His stomach rumbled at the lack of food residing in it, but Fred's rather empty looking wallet reminded him that there was nothing doing until pay day. Ah, well. At least he had some leftovers at him that he could tuck into when he returned to his flat. He really didn't expect anything in return from his girlfriend, as tradition dictated that he pay for the date and all that. But he was sure that Avalon would have something to say on the matter at some point. He gave a bit of a smirk to himself at that.
Fred just followed Avalon's lead and was more then happy to drag her into a bit of a cuddle when they discovered that the arms of the seats rose. He waited with some interest. He had wondered what Avalon's reaction to the movies would be once it actually got under, instead of just talking about it, and he wasn't let down. He gave her a huge smile and hoped she enjoyed the experience...

Avalon was enthralled.
As much as she would have been under some sort of spell or hypnosis. She had thought that at some point during the movie they would have been kissing and making out. From what she had heard about movies, they lasted about two hours or there abouts and she thought surely you couldn't lose yourself for that amount of time. You would get tired or at the very least your butt would fall asleep from the some what uncomfortable chair.
But none of this happened.
She stared at the screen for the entire movie. Her mouth slightly ajar. She laughed at everything. Things that some people didn't even find funny just because A PENGUIN WAS DOING IT!!! That made it funny in itself. She found herself blinking suddenly when the screen turned black and the movie was over. She blinked several times as if she needed to return moisture to her eyes, and she probably did, she wasn't sure when the last time she blinked was.
Avalon turned to look at Fred and gave him a bright smile before she leaned over and she hugged him tightly. Then she pulled back and pressed her forehead to his. She couldn't stop smiling, just like earlier when he had kissed her and made her his girlfriend. This had turned out to be the best day ever, and she was so happy she hadn't chickened out on coming today.
Thank you for bringing me, it was perfect. I've never seen anything like it, I'll remember it for always.
She kissed him softly, gently, but she didn't let it last too long or get too deep because they were in public and she wasn't sure how he felt about that but she was still a little too shy to be kissing much in public places. Especially, if they had the chance to lose themselves like they did when they were at his place earlier. When it broke she bit her lower lip, she really didn't want to leave, but their date was pretty much officially over.
I guess we should be getting back to the Alley huh? she asked as she rose and took his hand. They had a bit of a walk back and then she supposed she would have to say goodbye to her boyfriend, though she knew she would see him at work, as well as on New Years Eve that they had already promised to spend together.

Fred just sat back and relaxed.
He'd expected a little more of the making out to be honest, but Avalon seemed to be hypnotised by the movie. As if someone had her under the Imperious curse and was forcing her to watch the movie in its entirety. The imperious theory was a little paranoid he had to admit, but she did seem to be enjoying the film. He couldn't believe actually. Even he, Fred Weasley, hadn't been this amazed by his first film. But he had some experience in the area, while Avalon didn't.
But he was content. Content to allow Avalon to experience her first film unadulterated by anything, even if it meant giving up a little bit of pleasure. But he could handle that. Live with it definitely. Especially the pleasure that he'd gotten out of their kissing earlier. Fred couldn't help but let out a small giggle as his girlfriend returned to reality upon completion of the film. He had never seen someone so immersed in a film before pureblood or not. It was kind of cool actually. The hug, however, was returned with great enthusiasm. Unsure as to how far he was allowed to go, Fred left it at that figuring Avalon would do things at her own pace.
But he did return the smile with great gusto and was more then happy to press foreheads. The wild Weasley wasn't sure what it meant, but he was willing to go along with it if it meant having some contact with Avalon.
"It was definitely a pleasure milday. We'll have to do it again sometime, yes?"
It was something he would be happy to do, as Fred returned the kiss. Definitely willing to do again. And again. And again. And again. And Ag... His mind managed to snap itself out of its repeat as his lovely lady released the kiss. It wasn't as deep or as passionate as the ones they'd had in the flat, but Fred could understand why. The temptation was to great. Even for a practitioner of the romantic arts such as himself. But he could and would wait. He was sure of that.
"I'd guess we'd better." The regret in his voice was evident. As evident as the sun was yellow and the sky was blue. Fred didn't want the date to end, but he knew it must. Especially if they were going to spend time together. New Years wasn't going to come soon enough was his thought as the young Weasley began escorting his date back to the infamous Alley. Parting was going to be sweet sorrow, of that he was certain. But all good times had to come to an end. And this was one of those times...

They walked quietly back to Diagon Alley. Neither of them, she was sure, and knew definatly not her, wanted to say goodbye. She really hated having to say goodbye. She actually had this crazy daydream where Fred would whirl her into a dark corner and beg her to stay the night. That she could contact her mother, and she would just tell her that she was staying over with a friend. Having a girls night or something. And stay at his place.
She knew what would happen if she did. She would probably go too far. Or she would go at least a little further than she was exactly comfortable with. But the idea, the romantic notion of sleeping in his arms tonight, all warm and safe. Waking up to coffee and muffins together. But no, that would have to be saved for another time.
As they got to the Leaky Cauldron, where they had met, and stepped inside. She turned to face him. Pulling him over to a small dark corner where they would have a little privacy. She had left here a friend and come back his girlfriend. It was so perfect. Her and Fred. She turned to face him, pulling him close so they were standing together chest to chest.
I really wish it wasn't the end. she whispered to him as she nibbled on her lower lip because she was upset, and she really didn't want to say goodbye. She wanted to be with him longer. It was so sad to leave, she would always have her necklace to remember him by.
I can't wait to see you again, and I really can't wait til New Years Eve. We'll get to spend time together and get to stay late together. I'll probably sleep in London some where so that I do't have to go back home or something super late. I'm sure I'll figure it out then.
She bit her lower lip.
can I have a kiss goodbye?

Ah, temptation.
It was a interesting and often demanding mistress. Especially for someone like Fred Arthur Weasley, who had been subject to her whims for so long. And she was playing with his strings at this particularly important point in time. To ask, or possibly beg, Avalon to stay the night with him so that their time together wouldn't have to end. Fred knew that it wasn't a possibility, but that didn't mean that temptation wasn't trying to have her way, and his heart certainly wasn't helping his matters either. A million excuses to give Avalon's parents ran through the pranksters part of his mind at the thought, and maybe one or two to not go into work tomorrow.
But he doubted whether either of them were quite ready for that just yet. The temptation to take things further then either of them were willing to go would be to strong, and he didn't want to ruin the relationship before it had a chance to really develop. So he would wait. It would undoubtedly be torture of the highest order as he counted the minutes and seconds till he saw her again, but he would survive. For her. If only to see her smile once again.
He could help but smile as they entered the Leaky Cauldron once again. They had left one thing, and after a simple kiss they had come back another. As untraditional as it had been, Fred Weasley had managed to ask her out and Avalon's reaction had been a resounding yes. The Weasley luck and charm had worked once again. He couldn't help it. He wasn't sure if they'd last. Or even if they'd work in the long run. But right now they just seemed to click. To work. To be most excellent with one another. And at this point in time that was all that matter. All that counted. And as Avalon pulled him in close in the darkened corner of the pub, all he could thing about was kissing her.
Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. It just wouldn't stop. It couldn't stop. So much so that Fred almost missed what Avalon was saying about not wanting the date to end. "You and me both." He whispered back in agreement as he pulled her into a hug. The sadness of their date coming to an end had permeated his voice as well. He would miss her. So much.
"It's going to be a lot of fun I can promise you that. And worst come to the worst, I can take the couch and you have my bed or something. That is if we manage to sleep at all with all the excitement and what have you."
That was the truth. He usually had trouble sleeping when it came to New Years, and it was going to be doubly hard with Avalon around. Hopefully neither of them did something stupid or something they'd regret because of it.
Fred didn't even answer the request for a kiss with words, he just leaned in and planted one on Avalon. He started softly, but was willing to go wherever Avalon was willing to let him go at this juncture.
