yes, it is indeed that time of year again. quidditch is about to start up, since the school year has started and the teams have been training hard and long. all of their effort isn't going to be put to waste either. so all quidditch players should be ready for some serious matches coming up. anticipate injuries! but before we can all get riled up to play a few guidelines need to be set. so to save your eyes from aching at a block of text i will kindly put everything into manageable bullet points. so here we go.
- to keep the thread moving there will be a posting order and everyone has a 500 word count limit. don't worry, it's okay if you go a little over but please, we don't need 1k replies.
- each match is going to have a two page limit so that we can keep the tournament moving at an efficient pace.
- each team will play one match a month.
- each player will have four days tops to reply to the thread. if they fail to reply then an admin will fill in their post, simulating what would have happened with the player at their own will.
- a scenario will be chosen, that is what the match will be set around. the whole team will play it out to the best of their ability. it's okay to get creative.
- the winning team of each match will chosen by the admins. the winning team will be chosen out of three areas of criteria: post efficiency, creativity, and how entertaining their posts are to the admins.
so those are the guidelines. if something doesn't make sense or the rules seem terrible or something then just contact dana or i. hopefully our layout for quidditch makes sense and leaves you guys eager to play.
and the first two matches are gryffindor vs. hufflepuff and ravenclaw vs. slytherin. we hope to have the matches going on as early as saturday. so keep watch our for those threads!
