[style=padding: 20px;]The first word that comes to people's lips when describing Lysander is weird. He was grown up being told that his opinion was his opinion and nothing else mattered. Others may not like his opinions, but after Lysander's first year, Lysander didn't care what anybody else thought about him. He was who he was and nobody could change him. So he stayed the quirky boy for the rest of his Hogwarts student life. Lysander isn't a bit of an enforcer on rules either. He sees them more like guidelines than rules. He's become more of a corrupted Hufflepuff since he isn't exactly the nicest kid on the block. He's a bit in-your-face since he knows no boundaries or personal bubbles, but he has made a habit of telling people their best asset. Granted this could go very wrong when with women, but Lysander has make up for being a complete weirdo. He's a bit excitable too which makes him look a bit empty in the head.
The only other Hufflepuff trait he possesses is quietness. He may be quirky and snarky, but Lysander doesn't always have something to say ALL the time. He's very observant and doesn't miss a thing. Being related to his Ravenclaw twin brother has helped him out in a few situations though. Lysander only became an animagus through sheer determination to have a cool ability. Lysander may be determined to finish things that are cool or interesting, but he's not the greatest student. He procastinates, asks to cheat off of people's homework and sometimes just skips class. He isn't too bothered by it since he still maintains an average grade in all his classes. If he actually applied himself, he could be just as smart as his brother.
He secretly has a vendetta against mostly everyone - mostly the Slytherins. Lysander has a cynical view of people around him that they're all just trying to please everybody else and nobody is brave enough to be themselves. Of course Lysander can be proven wrong, but Lysander has a hard time accepting other views. Some call it stubbornness, Lysander calls it determination and persistency. Lysander isn't always cynical and snarky though. He has a soft side for the weak and stands up for them in their time of need. Lysander doesn't really consciously know this, but he pities the weak but he likes feeling powerful. He's on the verge of maniac and "normal" and just one wrong decision could send Lysander tumbling down the wrong path. Lysander was born the youngest twin to Luna and Rolf. Both babies had big, bright blue eyes that made them look like aliens, but they were adorable nonetheless. The family grew up by the sea in Whitehaven, England far away from any large city. His parents liked the quiet atmosphere and soothing sound of the waves. Lysander grew up knowing how to fish and sail a boat from a young age and as he grew older, he could be considered a professional. Skilled at sea, Lysander grew sea legs and he had a clumsy stage around eight when he couldn't get used to flat land. He was so used to bracing himself on the waves in his boat that his balancing couldn't compute normally on solid ground. His life was considered normal for Lysander since he didn't know many other children his age since his home was a bit far from other houses. His closet neighbor was about two miles away. In reality, his mother filled his head with her beliefs that she grew up with and being young, he believed her. At the age of ten, Lysander was showing signs of magic here and there. He had a bit of a scare on the sea when he fell overboard, but landed on solid ground. Turns out that he was walking on water and scrambled back into his boat. It was also his first time out by himself on the sea, so Lysander learned his lesson in bringing a buddy along next time just incase something like that happend again.
When he did get accepted to Hogwarts, Lysander just threw a fit of joy. He was always excitable and literally ran around the house waving his letter in the air for about an hour until he dropped on the floor with exhaustion. Lysander was always over the top with big things such as being accepted. So he was finally going to Hogwarts and when Lysander and Lorcan arrived, they were sorted into separate houses: Lysander to Hufflepuff and Lorcan to Ravenclaw. Lysander was slightly sad since he always imagined that his brother and himself would be the dynamic duo of Hogwarts. He was also very understanding since he knew that Lorcan was more into his academics a bit more logical than Lysander was. As soon as his first year started, Lysander's hopes of loving Hogwarts were crushed. A group of Slytherin seventh year boys cornered him and a few of his other fellow first year Hufflepuffs and teased the poor, frightened eleven year olds. After being harrassed by the supposed role models, Lysander tried his hardest not to dislike Hogwarts or even his house. He heard people say that Hufflepuff was the house for the other students that didn't have any real discriminating qualities. He grew cynical over the months about himself and his house and who he was associating himself with. Lysander tried his hardest to shape himself to be a person people would like, but Lysander wasn't sure if he liked being the jerk Gryffindors liked or the super intelligent boy Ravenclaws would approve of or even worse, going behind his friends back to get the approval of those sly Slytherins. Lysander was corrupted into being someone he hated and by the end of his first year, Lysander really didn't have a single friend he could go to when he stopped all the nonsense.
The summer after his first year, his mother told him that his first year was the hardest year in his life. His mother reassured him that his first year was about finding out who he didn't want to be and start over his second year. He just needed to think of his second year at Hogwarts as his first year. So Lysander took her advise to heart and decided to just be Lysander. It was a bit hard to gain back his Hufflepuff dormitory mates, but eventually he had real friends and Lysander began to enjoy himself. As the years went on, Lysander grew a shell of not caring about what other people thought. His self esteem seemed to be great on the outside and grew to be the kid that spoke his mind and was a bit crazy. Seeing as he didn't care, Lysander went on being blunt and a bit rude to those he really didn't like. After his fourth year, Lysander decided that maybe he was being a bit too mean and decided that he should probably tone it down a bit, which he did and decided that compliments always made people feel good about themselves and respect the compliment giver. Lysander was about changing himself a bit so he wasn't so disliked. Lysander was all against changing who he was, so he saw it as maturing a bit. He was still the in-your-face, carefree Lysander, but he was also a bit nicer to the weak.
