any bad talking about his family, detention - it gets in the way with his free time which means he'll have to skip class to get to his amount of free time needed in the week which means more detention which means for skipping class etcetera so how about the teachers just quit giving him detention!, when people expect too much of him - he'll only disappoint, when he's actually taking notes and his pencil tip breaks, divination, getting scolded by his grandmother, being told he's too chicken to do something, people that think school's everything - acording to hayden there's more to life than books and classes, ...

no bad word about hayden's mother. he believes her to be perfect. end of story. no, really, he loves her. she's very softspoken and a typical trophy wife, doesn't have a job, but she's an excellent mother. if there's one pure quality hayden still possesses, it's because of his mother.

FATHER, andrew jackson foss

hayden and his father have a rough relationship. they can't be around one another for too long until they start fighting. andrew can't resist but criticize hayden and his tendencies to screw everything up or out his disappointment. hayden can't stand how controlling his father is and wants to do as he pleases. his father wishes he'd be more responsible and model son and hayden's exactly anything but that. truth is, they're more alike than either of the two would like to admit. andrew is a lawyer (because even the wizarding world needs capable lawyers).

SIBLINGS,

  twins. a few years younger than hayden. probably as mischievous as he is, they just know how to get away with it due to their incredibly overload of cuteness. he envies their tactics. and hayden and his brother have gotten into a few fights before. but he adores them both and the only one to bully them is himself, anybody else that touches them is going to have to deal with hayden. you may as well start planning your funeral, in that case. don't envy the first guy to be his sister's boyfriend.

  asian roots. hayden's grandfather died when he was five. his mother says he was a very modern man, generally fun-loving. hayden vaguely recalls he had a thing for annoying his wife and loved to see her worked up and fussing. hayden's grandmother, kim jinae, was his exact opposite. she's very traditional and reserved. a sturdy, old woman that takes pleasure in criticizing her grandchildren on how to behave. she tends to fuss about they're simply unacceptable, much too mouthy and a general disgrace to their ancestors. it wouldn't be the first time she's called hayden an insolent fool, or good for nothing or that hayden's called her an old hag behind her back but he wouldn't dare cuss in front of her. if there's one person he fears, it's his grandmother. if there's one person that knows how to keep him a good, wellbehaved little boy, it's his grandmother. because when this woman rages... she's like a fucking typhoon. and hayden doesn't want to die just yet. nonetheless he has major respect for the woman and sees her as a teacher, someone he can learn from.

  caucasian roots. hayden barely knows them. ever since his father lashed out against them for belittling his wife for being muggleborn, their relationship's been more than edgy. stopped coming around when hayden was about seven. he knows they're alive and they know he's alive but that's about it. hayden has inherited his metamorphagus capability from his paternal grandfather and sometimes wishes his father would still be on good terms with them so that he could talk to the man about it, it confused him a lot during his childhood.
