It had been a long week for Nora. She had traveled with a few of the other snatchers to the Forest of Dean, the head of their group informed by some anonymous source that a vampire had taken refuge in the woods. So simply the woman had packed up her things, and practically disappeared off the face of the Earth without warning. She didn't mind the travel, liked the excitement of it rather, the sense of adventure that came with going all over the country and never knowing just what to expect. The less than marvelous conditions of living in a tent for seven days didn't seem to bother her as much as some of the others. Even so, after they had been there for a while and hadn't even found a footprint in the snow, Nora began to get a little skeptical. She supposed the fact that they hadn't run into any fugitive creatures was a good thing, they were being rounded up and controlled? Or maybe those that were left were getting better at avoiding the snatchers. That last idea made her frown. Either way, something didn't quite set right with the Ravenclaw. Alphard had finally resigned to the fact that they wouldn't be making any progress, and so they returned to the city, reporting to the Ministry of Magic empty-handed. Better luck next time. Something still wasn't quite right about the whole thing, but the blonde chose not to focus on that at the moment.
Instead Nora apparated to the flat she had visited a few weeks earlier. It seemed like so long ago that she had first met Ross, yet it felt like no time had passed at the same time. She remembered the day fondly as she marched up towards his apartment, uninvited but not choosing to deal with the social formalities of actually contacting him ahead of time to see if he would even be home. With her work, she hadn't seen or talked to him in at least a week, maybe more. Nora kept forgetting that there was actually a someone she should probably tell before disappearing. Oh well, why worry about something that she couldn't change. Knocking lightly, she waited for Ross to answer. "Hello," Nora greeted quietly, giving him a small smile. "I have arrived on your doorstep, I do hope that's all right." A little too late now, she just hoped he wouldn't be angry about that.
[hope this is good! lazy thread for benholt. <3]

Instead of spending his time the way he wanted to, with his girlfriend Nora (was she even his girlfriend? But that's another story) he had been spending his time doing boring things- organizing things for the order and editing a shitload of stuff. That was the downside of his job... he had a ton to do, and not enough time to spend with the important things in his life, such as Nora Holt. He liked this girl... a lot. And he didn't know why. She was different, completely different from any girl he had ever seen before. She had these huge creepy eyes that were strangely beautiful, this long blond hair, and a great little body. And then there was Ross, who was lanky and awkward-looking. Why she had chosen him, he still had no clue. She was far too good to be true.
What was even worse? The fact that she was a snatcher. He had decided to keep the whole Order thing a secret from her, for the sake of their relationship, but he couldn't help but question her morals... but he just pretended as if that whole side of her was nonexistant. Nobody's perfect, including his Nora. And perhaps it was fairly important... the two had different poliltical views, and he really valued his own. But other than that, the two got along on so many levels... and he wasn't about to bring anything up that could've jeopardized that. She already meant far too much to him, believe it or not, even though he had only known her for a short amount of time. But he had gotten really lucky with her- he even lost his virginity to the girl. She had some sort of effect on him... and it both scared and exited him.
Ross was sitting in his, well, sitting-room, flipping through the latest edition of his newspaper when he heard a knock on the door. He set down his coffee and paper, then groggily stood up and headed to the door. When he opened it, he couldn't help but smile at the girl standing there. "Hey," he said, quite exited about her little impromptu meet-up. He was speechless, she was beautiful, and everything was right with the world. He shook off her apology, waving his hand around the air as he swooped down to give her a hug. "Don't apologize for that, Nora. You know you're always welcome here," he said, beaming at the girl. He kissed her on the lips quickly before inviting her inside. In all actuality, he had been considering inviting her over as well... but he had also been considering quite a few other things. What if the two of them moved in together? Sure, it may be pushing things too fast... but he really liked her, and he missed having her around whenever she was gone. She was a good companion, as elderly-person-ish as that sounded. But not only that- she was pretty good in bed, too.
(WTF am I saying. Sorry. I'm just typing away and not bothering to proofread, lmao <3)

Nothing much shook Nora's confidence when it came to her work. The meeting with Skyanna had threatened to, and indeed after it was all said and done the woman had questioned things a bit, or was at least left with some thought on the subject. Even so, in the end her views stayed the same, cutting ties with her friend only reinforcing the fact that creatures needed to be controlled. If that meant a bit of a force had to be used, then so be it. The whole political aspect wasn't something her and Ross discussed much. They talked about everything and anything and nothing at the same time, but conversation always seemed to skirt around that particular topic. Maybe that was for the best, not much pushed her temper but once she snapped it was not a pretty sight. Perhaps it was better that they avoided that. Nora didn't push it any. That part of her life wasn't a secret, nor was it something she brought up. The blonde was perfectly fine with leaving a few things out, that wasn't a crime, was it? She wasn't ashamed of it, but for one of the few times in her life, she didn't want to ruin something with a person. She was strange and blunt and that had cost her a lot of friendships over the years, and Nora didn't want to screw things up with him.
Still, she got the feeling that Ross wasn't quite telling her everything. At times people took the snatcher to be stupid because of her apathetic and odd demeanor, however she was anything but. Actually rather observant when it came to people, something was off. Perhaps that suspicion was all wrong, though. It wasn't like the Ravenclaw to hold back, but she decided not to press matters. If it was anything important, he was tell her when he was ready, and in the mean time they could continue that smooth sailing. It was all good, almost too good to be true. Nora wasn't the type to be eager to put a label on things, but she was sure Ross was probably wondering exactly how to define their... relationship, or whatever it was. She wasn't all that sure how to answer that question, if it came up. For now, the girl was just letting things take their course, it wasn't really something one could plan.
As he opened the door, her face lit up. It was only just there standing in front of him that Nora realized how much she had missed him. She had thought about it of course, but was one of those things where it didn't fully hit when she was gone, not until she was back in his presence at that moment. Laughing slightly, the blonde turned towards him. "Good to know," she replied, knowing that she was welcome was comforting. The snatcher knew all too well that people often said those things just to be polite and didn't really mean it, but from Ross it seemed genuine. Stepping inside, she flashed him a grin. "Am I interrupting your exceedingly busy editor schedule, Mr. Bennett?" Nora questioned teasingly. "I'll be terribly distracting." Giving Ross a small smirk, the girl couldn't guarantee she'd be the best influence.
