it would be easier than pretending i was okay with this whole situation! i can't pretend to be your friend. i can't be there for you when you have girlfriend troubles or when you're trying to choose an engagement ring for someone else. i can't just pretend as though i still don't want to be with you just so that we can be friends. believe me, i wish i could. i wish i could get over you, but i just fucking can't devent. and being around you when we're only friends would just remind me of that fact every time i saw you.
