It was a Saturday morning and Sully was up at the crack of dawn. The pub would open in an hour and Sully had some cleaning and rearranging to do before letting in the customers. Saturdays were the days most of his student employees worked and Sully always enjoyed their presence. They seemed to brighten the pub with their youth and exotic personalities. When he arrived in front of the door to the Three Broomsticks, Sully pulled out a key and unlocked the door to enter the timeless pub. Closing the door behind him, but not locking it so his employees could enter, Sully went straight to his office in the very back of the pub. Turning the light on, Sully threw his jacket across the chair he often fell asleep in after late nights cleaning and scheduling. Sully never tired of his work though because he was just happy he wasn't out on the streets begging for food and money. For being a Ravenclaw almuni, Sully sure could be reckless and not think before acting. No, he had thought about it and knew that he wouldn't be able to stand working for a man that disgraced the name of modern civilization.
Running a hand over his beard, Sully donned his name tag that flashed his name and then the word 'manager'. Cracking his fingers, his opening employees should be coming in soon, but Sully went to work nevertheless. Deciding to turn on some music to listen to while he worked, Sully found his favorite Weird Sisters album and began to play it. Sure they were old, but boy were they a classic. Sully was always a sucker for old music and hadn't really listened to much modern music. He was surely going to be teased for listening to the Weird Sisters, but he was the manager, not them. Smirking at the thought, Sully pulled out his wand and levitated the chairs off of the tables and onto the ground. Going back to his office, Sully pulled out some papers and brought them over to the bar. Pulling out a stool, Sully climbed onto it and slouched over his map of the pub. Going to work on assigning the waiters and waitresses to certain tables, Sully tapped his fingers on the wooden surface and bobbed his head to the music playing around him. He was really considering bringing in some Muggle music to see how his customers react. Of course he didn't want to lose any of his devoted customers, but Sully was too passionate about his cause to his anti-minister ways. Sighing, Sully cracked his back and just sat there, stuck in his thoughts.

The words bright and early were not words that Katniss was accustom to, nor did she like them but working at the Three Broomsticks brought those words up quite often, much to her distain. It was not something that she rather liked but ever since third year that had been her domain. It was the place that she would have to go to every free day that she had to work off some impossible debt that she loathed more than a certain Gryffindor sometimes. Trudging towards another days work, Katniss groaned. If it had not been for her lack of sleep she would have been a bit more cheery but alas, that never happened. She was never in a cheery mood, even when she was around people that she could stand – and if she was, it only lasted for a moment or two with the affections that she had allotted for the time. Even so, it was a trying time and there was a lot to be done today, much like any other day and she prayed to the heavens that she didn’t have to take post as a barmaid. After the last few shifts she had, she was just around ready to break fingers, if not hands. You would think that patrons would get the picture once they’d had a few drinks slip unexpectedly onto their laps or chairs knocked away, but no, nothing of the sort. They just liked to keep at it.
Pushing open the door to the ruddy pub and inn, Katniss looked around. It was still early and not many people like to drink so early in the morning unless they were returning form a night’s job, but in any case it was slow. She could get by without donning her outfit. The Madame wouldn’t mind either way, since there weren’t many people as it was. Instead, she just plopped herself in one of the bar stools next to Sully, the great, trying to go unnoticed by everyone else. She believed that everything here hated her, or at least for the most part. That was probably why she got the opening shift or something like that. She hoped it wasn’t the case but one could never be too sure. Peering at the ex-raven, she looked down at what he was working on. By the look it was obvious to her in an instance and she wanted to pounce at him but, she contained herself as she didn’t really have the energy to: 1) do any pouncing, whatsoever and 2) to argue with him when things got out of hand.
“You know, if you’re going to continue bobbing your head to the music, people might think it a bit odd as you’re just sat here by your lonesome.” Katniss finally said, throwing her arms over the bar as she slouched. Soon enough he found herself resting her head on the bar as well, yawning like a kitten. “It is far too early for this… why do I always have this shift.” she grumbled, trying to snap him back to reality a bit… prodding him gently on the cheek.

What he wouldn't give to be back at his old job doing what he enjoyed. He really thought he was going to work there for the rest of his life, moving up the ranks as he grew older and more skilled. He had no idea when he was a new grad student that Sully would be stuck in this situation. But Sully knew that everything had a reason for why it happend and the reason for quitting his job was because the man running the Ministry was thick headed and a complete nutter. Now that he was part of the order, Sully felt like he had a purpose for rebelling against the nut job of a man people called Minister of Magic. He and many other people were making a difference and that's all Sully thought was important at the moment.
Suddenly, the bell above the door jingled signaling that Sully was no longer alone. Turning his head and shoulders to see who had entered, his eyes met none other than Katniss Williams walking towards him. She was one of his few opening barmaids and Sully enjoyed her presence. Of course, it had nothing to do with her being a Ravenclaw, Sully thought sarcastically. She wasn't like anybody else in that she had this certain charm about her. Not in the super nice, always smiling charming, but more like, witty, independence charm that intrigued people to want to get to know her. It wasn't long before she sat down next to him, looking exasperated. Lowering his eyebrows at her comment, Sully then peered at her. "Think what they want!" Sully dramatically exclaimed as he threw his hand up to the ceiling. Lowering it again, he continued on. "Besides, who would want to be up this early anyways?" Sully smirked at her with a teasing tone. With that, he got poked in the cheek with Katniss's finger.
Turning his body to her, Sully propped his elbow on the surface and rest his hand against the cheek. "I guess the world just hates you, Katniss." Sully morbidly answered with a sigh. He tried to keep a straight face as he said this. He wasn't really one for joking around very much or even known as the funny guy, but Sully was a Ravenclaw and answers like these always came quick. The hard part was keeping a straight face. You think it wouldn't be hard since Sully was somewhat serious for the most part. Going back to his papers, Sully let a small smile creep up on to his lips. Watching her through his peripheral vision, he watched for any sudden movements.

What Katniss would have given to go back to her third year and fix her little mistake, but no, life didn’t like to work that way even with the means to do it. Had she not exploded the bar and practically send half of it to the void, she would have been home free right now and she wouldn’t ever have to wake up this early at all. Merlin, this was terrible, but it wasn’t exactly all that bad. It could have been much worse right now, she supposed. Even now, there weren’t things that would easily be changed. She doubted that the crazy Minister would change his dealing though she didn’t really care very much about them as it was. They didn’t concern her all that much because there weren’t magical creatures that she particularly cared about and she really just seemed to take the apathetic approach to it all that way. He was a nut job and things would sort themselves out, they always did.
“They think you’re a nut job.” Katniss muttered, gesturing to the empty seating areas behind them. In true, the seventeen year old didn’t really think that at all, but he was a bit eccentric sometimes. It was kind of strange really and she didn’t care much for it but it was Sullivan so she tolerated it. In some ways she respected the man for taking a stance in what he believed in, so she supposed that she should at least deal with his many quirks, as plentiful as they might have been. Well, there was that and the fact that Katniss thought of Sully like the big brother that she never had – annoying but always entertaining. “… no one wants to be up at this hour… I just want to hide behind the bar, curl up and sleep some more…” she groaned, tucking her arms under her head when he turned to look at her. “So… by the effect, you must hate me too.” she raised a brow, hiding her smile with her arms. “You’re the one that schedules after all.” the seventeen year old squirmed in her seat a bit.
Then she popped up from her position, stretching akin to a cat for just a moment, leaning over to him, resting her head on his shoulder to take a look at the papers because her curiosity had gotten the best of her. “Please tell me I’m not working in the section with the ratty old men… again.” she emphasised the last word because time and time again she had been stuck with that section which made it her skin crawl more times that she cared to count. Sure, Katniss was a rather impersonal person, who invaded others’ personal space, but she didn’t like it when it happened to her, especially when it came with grubby old man hands.
