...and I watched helplessly-- ...as the world round me turned into shades of grey-- Aw, hell. That smile again. Ted's heart leaped as Sky's fiery grin showed again, this one bigger than the many before it. He was quickly beginning to realize how much he enjoyed sitting with her, as if the quantity of his smiles where not a gage to judge by. He still couldn't quite place why she got under his skin so much. Sure, she is beautiful, and is, she is certainly intelligent, and she is unique of course, and she-, Ted stopped himself mid-thought. Okay, maybe I can figure it out. Ted took another bite of roll, eyes dancing. "Oh. Well then, I guess I'll have to work harder at it then. " He smiled for the umpteenth time. At this rate he was going to strain his jaw. after all, he didn't have much to smile about theses days. Sky was quickly changing that. A guy could get used to that. Ted wasn't sure whether that exited or scared the living hell out of him. He could tell that she was still being aloof, tiptoeing around his question. He wasn't one to push the issue, but it seemed that Sky was at least willing to continue sitting with him, her offer of free questions certainly enticing. Guess the only way to find our about her is to ask. Go Go Gadget deductive powers.Ted turned on the stool swinging a leg was on either side so that he faced Skyanna entirely. He cracked his knuckles loudly, then settled his right hand on his chin, a mock-pensive look on his face. "Alrighty then." He stayed silent for a second before snapping his fingers dramatically. "What..!"He paused again, letting the suspence build. "...Is your favorite color?"[style=height: 15px; background-color:D1D1D1 ; color: 000000; width: 450px; font-size: 8px; font-family: new century gothic; word-spacing:1px; letter-spacing:1px; text-align: center; text-align: justify; ] ^____^ [/style]

the time to hesitate is through, no time to wallow in the mire. try now we can only loose, and our love becomes a funeral pyre. Come on baby light my fire, try to set the night on fire - - - * Unfortunately for Ted Sky was use to all kinds of flattery and compliments. She wasn't sure what it was that made people come up to her on more then one occasion when she was out at bars enjoying a drink or two, but she generally shot them down much quicker then she did Ted. She most certainly enjoyed his company more then others, but she felt somewhat bad that his Ted-like compliments were going to go unmeasured in her mind. At lest for the moment - though, she would give him an A for effort. She couldn't place what it was about Ted that caught her eye so much, but he was like a breath of fresh air compared to most of the men she had been seen with lately. Alistair couldn't keep up with his quick wit and sully was just a different breed. No matter the cast Sky was hopeful that when tonight eventually came to an end she and ted would share more evenings like this together.
She grinned at his comments, cutting herself up some food and looking back to ted. "Hmm. It'll be a challenge darling, but you are more then welcome to try," she said, biting her bottom lips for a moment before taking a bite of her meal. Sky knew Ted's compliments were of a unique breed, and she wouldn't mind hearing what he had to say. Call it a bit of a boost to her small almost non existent ego, but it would be nice to hear what he thought of her throughout the evening. Not that she cared what anyone thought of her, not even Ted. Well, that was a lie but she would keep telling herself that. You know, for her own sake.
Ted's next set of movements made Sky slightly nervous. She chewed the food she had in her mouth and swallowed, watching Ted as he turned completely to face her, Sky slightly nervous at what he was going to ask. She had some pretty obnoxious trust issues, and she wasn't sure what she would do if he asked directly about her family or anything of the sort. It was just a big mess and her own baggage, no one else needed to know about it. As nervous as she was she still got a sense of joking coming from the man in front of her, and her thoughts were confirmed at his question. She let out a hearty laugh, placing her hand on her chest for a moment. "Here I was thinking you were going to ask something serious. Well played sit, well played," she winked, turning to face him as well. She adjusted her siting position so she was also completely face him, her legs cross and she leaning to the right as she leaned on the table. "That is a tricky question for me though," she said, giving a thoughtful gaze. Sky remained silent for a brief moment while she thought on the topic. "I would have to say black is my favorite color," she said, a grin still remaining on her face. "I know what you're thinking - black? really? It's more for the scientific purposes for it rather then anything else I suppose. Black catches such a bad rap in symbolism, it's such a drastic contrast to white that people group it in with evil things and such," she started, shrugging it off a bit. "But my opinion is biased. black has a lot to do with astronomy," she grinned, grabbing her goblet and taking a sup. "What about yourself, ted?"[/div] status; <3 tags; wonderful ted! notes;they make me so happy <33
