The doors to her room were shut closed, blocking Lorelei from the rest of the Hogwarts population. She didn't want to have to deal with all the happiness of the holiday season right now as she preferred to sulk alone. She just wasn't feeling like herself today. Perhaps it was because she couldn't get to sleep last night because her mind was on so many things. Every other hour she woke up. What she should've done was just get out of bed and save herself from the misery of trying to sleep. But she didn't and now she was paying the price. She currently sat at her desk with one hand on her forehead and the other hand held a quill, hovering over the piece of parchment. She was behind on grading and now she was paying the price. Furrowing her eyebrows, Lorelei didn't like this day already since she seemed to be 'paying the price' for many things already and it was only after lunch.
Writing a big A on the paper, Lorelei knew that this particular student could do better on the paper than what she read. It wasn't worth an E or and O. Tossing it aside with the rest of the graded papers, Lorelei went on grading, slowly reading the essays she had assigned two weeks ago on wandless magic. Lorelei knew that that was more in the Defense Against the Dark Arts subject, but wandless magic was very useful and everybody should know about it. It never hurt to engrain it into their puny brains anyways. Leaning back in her chair, Lorelei stretched her back and tried to crack it so her back would feel better. After a few seconds, she felt her spine crack. Sighing in relief, Lorelei picked this time to give herself a break. Standing up, Lorelei began to pace in her room. She was debating on whether to go out in the castle to find someone or not, but she just wasn't in the mood. If someone wanted to see her, they'd find her. Of course, it'd be easy for them to find her today since she was in the most obvious spot in the entire school. Good, let them find me. Lorelei thought as she crossed her arms.
Going over to a window, Lorelei peered out to see that it was snowing. Lorelei loved the snow and how beautiful it looked. Her face softened at the sight of the first snowfall. She always loved to walk out in the first snow of the year since it made her happy. She was never exactly sure why, but when it snowed, Lorelei enjoyed looking up to the sky and watch the snowflakes fall towards her. Sighing, Lorelei crossed her arms and leaned on one foot as she stared out the window. She could see a few students out there already and Lorelei watched them since nobody else had caught her attention yet.
