Higher level prisoners are kept here - that is, prisoners that could do sufficient damage. Pureblooded supernaturals are typically kept here, but the occasional enemy of the ministry may also be thrown in here to await whatever awful thing comes their way.

the towers are technically forbidden if they aren't in use for a class, like astronomy. the students seem to have trouble with listening and scale up the narrow stairs to the top of the towers anyway.

if you can figure out how to get into the room of requirement then all of your wildest dreams will come true. literally. plenty of duties escape here and spend some time alone...or with someone else.

each house has their own common room, that much is obvious. students can still be found sneaking into each other's common rooms though. all it takes is a password.

potions class is held down here. it's very chilly and impersonal. in the winter you should be prepared to have your bones chilled because the castle isn't heated.

the whole purpose of coming to the school is to learn, right? all a variety of classrooms are spread throughout the castle. happy learning.

Connecting each different place in Hogwarts is a corridor, so it seems only natural you'd find someone here. Careful, some of the corridors might be a little more temperamental than others.

the trophy room is exactly what the title holds. all the past students who have done something to deserve a reward have their name somewhere on these shelves.

all of the castle's festivities are held here. there's christmas trees for the winter holidays and jack o'lanterns for halloween. oh, you also have all of the meals here. fatten yourself up with the lovely cuisine!

everyone here seems to have a history for getting themselves hurt. the nurse is caring enough to patch up any wounds that a student might receive. you'll be outta here in no time.

the ministry is made up of several different departments through which the wizarding world in england is regulated.
